We are seeking a highly motivated, part qualified finance professional to join our growing operations in Oxford. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across a wide financial management role as part of a small team gaining experience in a number of areas of the finance function, as well as supporting the Head of Finance with various financial reporting requirements. Responsibilities and required skills

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment with considerable internal and external connections and touchpoints. The role will suit a part qualified candidate looking to gain further experience in a financial management/ management accountant capacity. The successful candidate will be expected to work to the Evox Values of:

Key duties and responsibilities include:

Month end reporting: Preparation of month end balance sheet reconciliations, including fixed asset management, and month end bank reconciliations.

Payroll reconciliations and relationship with external bureau: Manage relationship and data transfers to/from external payroll bureau with updates received from HR. Month end reconciliations of payroll figures and importing of data into financial system. Compliation of timesheet data for internal resource reporting as part of month end management accounts pack.

Financial compliance: Reconcile and prepare all reporting/returns/payments required for VAT, PAYE/NI, P11d/PSA and Pension as required.

Expenses and Credit card processing: Manage the full credit card and employee reimbursement processes from reviewing submissions, training and policy reinforcement, importing to the finance system and reviewing payments.

Project accounting: Support Head of Finance with various internal and externally funded projects, including granular analysis of costs at a project level including month end reviews and reconciliations.

Financial planning and analysis: Support Head of Finance with Grant reporting and VC reporting requirements as necessary. Work with Head of Finance on compilation of data requirements for Budgeting and reforecasting processes.

Short term cash management; Review all payment runs created by Accounts Administrator for accuracy and controls compliance. Manage free cash needs and internal bank transfers to maintain short term liquidity.

Ad-hoc Purchase ledger & bank payments cover: As required, the successful candidate will need to provide cover for any time critical elements of the Accounts Administrator role when they are on leave.


Required skills and experiences include:

Part qualified ACCA or ACA with experience of month end balance sheet reconciliations & reporting;

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and strong problem solving abilities;

Pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry experience is an advantage;

Open-minded, self-motivated, attentive to detail, and dedicated to quality and compliance;

Outstanding team member with a collaborative mindset and a can-do attitude.
